Issue 24 Attwood pants

DESCRIPTION: A modern take on casual pants, Attwood is a pattern that will delight from so many angles. Full of clever details, like wrap-around pockets and patchwork-esque panels, these pants are a joy to make. Flat-felled seams, top-stitching and a large hem allowance create a drool-worthy finish, while the cropped, straight leg and elasticated waist make for a comfy pair of pants that you’re not going to want to take off.

Dive into your stash and make a pair for every day of the week. Have some fun with horizontal and vertical stripes and a dash of pattern clash. We dare you to see where your imagination takes you!

SIZE: All

FABRICS: The Attwood pants are compatible with mid-weight woven fabrics such as: linen, linen blends, cotton canvas, cotton drill and denim. The pattern lends itself well to colour blocking. Keep in mind that the weight of the fabric will determine the amount of structure and drape in the finished garment.

Fabric requirements and finished garment measurements can be found here.

NOTIONS: Coordinating thread

5cm (2in) wide elastic (your waist measurement + 5cm (2in))

Optional: If your fabric is prone to stretching, you may choose to use interfacing tape to stabilise the front opening. Alternatively, tearaway vilene can be used.
